M101
Standard type with finer particle size that provides superior binding capability, excellent tablet hardness and low friability. It is suitable for wet granulation, roller compaction, direct compression and spherization.
M102
Standard type with coarser particle size than M101. Compared with M101, is has better flowability, and is especially suitable for direct compression production.
M103
It has similar particle size distribution as M101, but with lower moisture content that is suitable for water-sensitive active ingredients.
M105
This type has the finest particle size, therefore it the most compressible of all MCC types. It is especially suitable for chewable tablets and provides smoother texture. It can also be mixed with other types to achieve specific flow and compressibility. It can be used in roller compaction and direct compression to enhance tablet hardness.
M112
It has similar particle size distribution as M102, but it has extremely low moisture content which is designed for moisture sensitive active ingredients, such as probiotics, vitamin, and lutein.
M113
It has similar particle size as M101, but with lower moisture content than M101 and M103, which is suitable for moisture sensitive active ingredients.
M200
Coarsest particle size among all types, therefore it has excellent flowability, and facilitates high speed tableting and low tablet weight variation. It is suitable for direct compression, hard capsules, or it can also be added in dry or wet granulation to enhance compressibility.
M212
The particle size of this type is between M102 and M200. It has great binding capability and flowability, which is suitable for direct compression with upstanding content uniformity.
M301
It has similar particle size distribution as M101, but with higher bulk density that is designed for low density ingredients in thinner tablets. It is suitable for direct compression, and it will present less tablet variation at higher tableting speed. Additionally, it will improve production efficiency by allowing larger batch size in blending.
M302
It has similar particle size distribution as M102 but with higher bulk density that is designed for low density ingredients in thinner tablets. It is suitable for direct compression, and it will present less tablet variation at higher tableting speed. Additionally, it will improve production efficiency by allowing larger batch size in blending.
M200LM
It is one of the coarsest types which has similar particle size as M200, but with low moisture content similar as M113. It is suitable for moisture-sensitive active ingredients that need superior flow in production.
